In the year 2003 two musical groups, with a long musical performance history under one lead vocalist, joined efforts to become more versatile in their efforts to reach hearts through their soul searching music. Their combined efforts have resulted in the sound of their NEW SONGS being shared with audiences across the United States.
In the spring of 1975 a group of talented musicians in the small northeastern town of Claremore, Oklahoma purchased a shuttered night club and re-opened it playing progressive and contemporary country flavored family music. The group also played for the weekly worship services of an exciting church. The Church and the band shared the establishment formerly known as “The Outpost”. Several of the members have since passed on, but their memories and talents have etched a forever place in our hearts.
Thank you for taking time to get to know the wonderful cast and band members of New Song Outpost in this original music video "Before The Dogwoods Bloom in Georgia".
Bloom in Georgia
Before the Dogwoods
The words and music for the video were composed by Robert McGuire of Bartlesville. Mike Harris Media filmed the video on location in the cities of Mounds and Bartlesville, Oklahoma and in the counties of Washington, Osage, Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma. Filming included scenes of, on and from the passenger cars of the Arkansas Missouri Railroad and the Old Union Railroad station in Van Buren, Arkansas. The McGuires know and live the pains and concerns of families who's members serve in the armed forces of our nation. Their son Dustin is currently serving with the Air Force in Korea. This video is about those families. All profits received for the viewing/downloading of this project will be donated to BLUE STAR MOTHERS and WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECTS.
