What we have is much more than a music video...much more than a song...and even more than a story. This project exemplifies an American family and the freedoms that our soldiers and families provide...
"Before The Dogwoods Bloom in Georgia" is one of over 70 songs written by Robert McGuire.
The Story is...
...about a young boy named Will, who enlists in the military to defend the freedoms for these great United States of America. Although in a war zone, Will often dreams of home and the family prayerfully waiting there for his return.
This original song composed by Robert McGuire, was was first performed in public July 5, 2012, before an audience of American Patriots who gave the band and the song a very warm reception. In August the first recording pilot was produced and the production crew began plans to film in Osage County, Washington County, Tulsa County and Muskogee County in Oklahoma as well as Van Buren, Arkansas. New Song Outpost and vocalist McGuire, recorded the song at the Drapp Studios in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mike Harris Media produced the recording into the music video.
The video depicts the heartwarming story told many times over of an American family who reinforce the strength of our nation when their young soldier volunteers to serve.

The scene where our soldiers leave via train was filmed at the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad Depot in VanBuren, Arkansas. The film crew and actors appreciated the ability to capture this final scene of the music video in such a remarkable and historic setting. Mike Harris Media produced a short highlight video of the fall excursion between VanBuren and Winslow. We hope you enjoy watching and encourage you to visit the station for a front row seat. You will be glad you did.
